About Flevro
A Founder's Note
The story behind Flevro
Flevro was born from a real need.
I'm a software engineer with nearly 20 years of experience and a few years ago I moved to the Netherlands with my family. Like many immigrants, I faced difficulties learning the language β a challenge that requires consistency, method, and above all, efficient tools.
In this context I started using Anki again, a tool that had already helped me in the past to learn English. I've always recognized the power of spaced repetition, and the results really make a difference.
But two points bothered me: the unintuitive design and, mainly, the laborious card-creation process. It was efficient, but not simple.
That's where Flevro came from.
We created Flevro to keep the best of Anki, but with a modern, intuitive experience enhanced by artificial intelligence. Our goal is to make content creation easier, reduce learning friction, and help more people learn consistently and efficiently.
"Because learning a new language is already challenging enough β the tool shouldn't be."
